Michelin-starred Northcote and its Chef Patron-Director Lisa Goodwin-Allen have confirmed their support for Blackpool Restaurant Week 2026, the annual celebration shining a spotlight on the town’s food and drink scene.
Taking place from Thursday 12th to Thursday 19th March, Blackpool Restaurant Week returns for its second year, with more venues, a full week of activity and a growing focus on community, careers and creativity within hospitality. From casual bites to fine dining, the event, which is delivered by Blackpool Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), encourages locals and visitors to explore what Blackpool has to offer.
Northcote is widely regarded as one of the UK’s most respected restaurants, maintaining a Michelin star for almost three decades and recognised nationally for its influence on modern British cooking.
Known for its commitment to seasonal, regional produce and exceptional hospitality, the Lancashire restaurant has also built a strong reputation for developing emerging talent, with many former team members now leading kitchens across the UK.
The initiative has welcomed the support of Lisa Goodwin-Allen, who is lending her voice to help celebrate the region’s culinary talent.
Lisa said: “Blackpool Restaurant Week is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the talent right on Blackpool’s doorstep. My hope is that the week highlights the strength and diversity of the town’s dining scene, giving residents the chance to rediscover local favourites and showing visitors just how much there is to explore.
“I’d encourage people to get out there, support local chefs and enjoy some incredible food.”
To mark its involvement, Northcote will offer a special prize giving one lucky winner the chance to enjoy a three-course seasonal lunch for two at the Michelin-starred restaurant. The competition is now live on the Blackpool BIDs Facebook and Instagram page, where participants can follow the instructions to enter, with entries open until 10th March, and the winner will be announced on the 11th.
Northcote will also offer a learning opportunity for a student from Blackpool and The Fylde College through a one-day kitchen experience, providing insight into the standards, creativity and professionalism of a Michelin-star kitchen. Further details will be confirmed directly with the college.
Sue Grindrod, Managing Director of Blackpool BIDs, said: “Support from Northcote and Lisa Goodwin-Allen brings real weight to Blackpool Restaurant Week. It highlights the quality and ambition of the town’s hospitality sector and the importance of creating clear pathways for young people into the industry.”
Blackpool Restaurant Week 2026 will feature special menus, offers and events across the town, encouraging residents and visitors alike to discover new places and celebrate Blackpool’s food and drink scene. For more information, visit www.blackpoolrestaurantweek.co.uk
