The Burnt Chef Project: Wellbeing in Hospitality Workshop

18 March @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

As part of Blackpool Restaurant Week (Thursday 12th to Thursday 19th March 2026), a special hospitality-focused mental health talk will take place on Wednesday 18th March at 1pm at Arc Cinema. This is a closed, invite only event exclusively for hospitality professionals across the Blackpool region.

The session will be delivered by North West Ambassador Andy Smart on behalf of The Burnt Chef Project, which supports mental health and wellbeing within the hospitality industry.

The day aims to raise awareness of mental health in hospitality and highlight the support channels available to managers and their teams.

The Burnt Chef Project provides free training, education, and one-to-one support for chefs, managers, servers, and students. In 2025 alone, more than 21,000 online learning modules were completed and 3,674 individuals accessed free mental health support, including therapy and life coaching. Its Ambassador network now includes nearly 300 trained peer supporters embedded in workplaces, helping reduce stigma and encourage early conversations.
